Victoria’s Road Minister Luke Donnellan has apologised for telling Corangamite Shire Mayor Jo Beard funding for the region was “better than a kick in the dick”.
The comment was reportedly made during a meeting with Ms Beard as she was proposing more money for roads in south-west Victoria.
Ms Beard said the comment made during the February 6 meeting was disappointing.
“I personally didn’t take offence to it, I’ve got a pretty thick skin,” she told Australian Associated Press.
“It was more around the disappointment that he had made that comment toward the council.”
