The Hawksebury Highway Patrol and NSW Roads and Maritime Services combined to conduct Operation Merrett, targeting heavy vehicles in the Clarendon area on Monday.
Accrding to police the blitz intercepted 64 vehicles, issuing 21 defect notices and 12 infringement notices for various offences.
During the operation eight random drug tests were conducted but all returned a negative result.
One speed limiter infringement was issued after settings within a truck’s ECU were found to allow the heavy vehicle to travel at 109.52, and one infringement notice was issued for a heavy vehicle being off a prescribed route.
