NTI launches search for new Faces of Transport in Brisbane

National Transport Insurance has announced the next iteration of its community initiative Faces of Transport, which will coincide with the Brisbane Truck Show

The Faces of Transport stand inside the Brisbane Truck Show will launch a ‘Call for Nominations’ over the four days of the event.

National Transport Insurance (NTI) says the revamped Faces of Transport will encourage people to pay homage to movers and shakers and hard-working individuals who make their mark in the industry through commitment, professionalism and exemplary service.

The Faces of Transport stand will offer barista-poured coffee, fresh donuts and various give-aways for those who nominate during the event.

Nominations can be steered into one of the four categories: Hall of Fame, Best All-Rounder, Best on Ground, and Best Industry Rep. Category winners and their nominators will also be in the running for a range of ‘money can’t buy’ experiential prizes.

NTI CEO Tony Clark says Faces of Transport exists purely to bring recognition to ordinary, hardworking Australian’s doing extraordinary things.

“To-date we’ve received immense support behind our Faces of Transport initiative through involvement with causes like the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners and NTI’s Restoration for Motor Neurone Disease,” he says.

“We’re upping the recognition, casting a wider net, and paying respect to everyday Aussies who go the extra mile, quite literally. We’re talking about men and women who often fly under the radar and go about their lives with very little fanfare for what they do.

“They work public holidays, during the dark hours of the day, often miles from their homes and families. This industry literally touches the lives of all Australians,” Clark says.

“Time and time again we see people in transport and logistics dedicating time, money and resources to struggling Australians. We’re making it our mission at NTI to shine a light on those people – but we need help finding them. We’re counting on others to step up and name a mate.”

The Faces of Transport stand will be activated across all four days of the 2019 Brisbane Truck Show from 10am to 2pm, located on the bottom floor of the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

For those not attending the Brisbane Truck Show, the Australia-wide call for nominations is open until September 2019.

Full terms, conditions and nomination information can be found on the NTI website.
