Paccar steps in with bushfire relief donations

Industry generosity has come to the fore during the bushfire crisis with Paccar and its Australian dealers adding to the bushfire relief donation efforts.

Paccar Australia, whose brands include Kenworth and DAF, says it is as devastated as every Australian by the current bushfire crisis being experienced across the country.

A total of $100,000 is being donated, comprising $70,000 from US parent company Paccar Inc. to the Australian Red Cross.

Its Paccar Australia dealers are donating a further $30,000 to the Australian Red Cross.

"The unprecedented scale of the ongoing bushfire disaster is a tragedy for everyone impacted," Paccar Australia managing director Andrew Hadjikakou says.

"We most sincerely hope our contribution goes some way to continuing to support Australian Red Cross to deliver assistance to locally-affected communities."
