Healthy Heads rolls out new resources

Webinar and toolbox talk series bolsters wellbeing roadmap

Transport and logistics mental health foundation Healthy Heads in Trucks and Sheds (HHTS) is rolling out a new series of resources to improve workplace wellbeing.

HHTS will launch a webinar and toolbox talk series aiming to support industry participants with their implementation of the National Mental Health and Wellbeing Roadmap, and provide the wider workforce with practical tips for maintaining mental health and physical wellbeing.

Earlier in 2021, HHTS provided the industry with access to the three-year roadmap strategy, setting out the plan for improving psychological safety across the entire road transport, warehousing and logistics industries in Australia.

The Seven Workplace Strategies Webinar Series will commence on October 14 as part of the Foundation’s Mental Health Month activities.

The seven-part series will walk managers and leaders through the research-informed workplace strategies identified in the roadmap, which highlight the key approaches to creating psychologically safe and thriving workplaces for their employees.

The first webinar of the series will focus on Building Leadership Capability and is free to all who wish to attend.

“Through the delivery of webinars and our new toolbox talk series, we hope to reach and support people at all levels of the sector through practical, bite-sized pieces of information and resources,” HHTS CEO Naomi Frauenfelder said.

“During national Mental Health Month, I encourage anyone in the industry who is looking to understand where to turn for organisational or personal support to visit our website.

“There you will find information and resources, the Roadmap (free to download) and gain access to HHTS membership.”

The wider toolbox talk series is targeted to raise awareness, reduce stigma and build an understanding of how HHTS can support workers from an individual wellbeing perspective.

The HHTS Toolbox Talk Series will be rolled out to members of the foundation.

Individuals have the opportunity to become a member and gain full access to toolbox talks and other resources at no cost.
