Transport and Main Roads Queensland has announced a scheduled closure of the east-bound lanes of the Toowoomba bypass
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in Queensland has advised that they will be implementing a full range closure of the east-bound lane of the Toowoomba Bypass to complete embankment works.
The closure is scheduled to occur on Thursday 9 December 2021 from 5am to 7pm, weather permitting.
The closure is required so that Nexus Operations can undertake emergency embankment works for the continued safe operation of the Toowoomba bypass, says TMR.
During the closure, eastbound traffic, including heavy vehicles, will be detoured through Toowoomba.
Please be assured that TMR and Nexus Operations are working to ensure the embankment works are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. This closure is being implemented for the safety of motorists and workers.
Please note that westbound traffic will operate as usual with some minor restrictions.
