Isuzu continues search for 2023 Truck of the Year

There's still time to enter your Isuzu into the Truck of the Year competition and be in the running for massive prizes

Isuzu Australia is still on the hunt for its 2023 Truck of the Year winner, with three monthly prize winners still to be announced.

Entering the 27th year of the competition, the Grand Prize Winner will be announced after the competition closes on November 24.

The Grand Prize Winner will receive a $6000 Visa cash card, and will be selected from the pool of 10 monthly winners.

There are also smaller monthly prizes on offer for the monthly winners, each winning a $1000 Visa cash card.

Isuzu Australia marketing and advertising manager Sam Gangemi says the competition aims to celebrate truck owners and their vehicles.

“This year we have seen entries from builders and labourers, plumbers and electricians, through to arborists, waste recyclers, and even a handful of recreational Isuzu truck owners,” he says.

“We are very pleased to give Isuzu customers the opportunity for recognition on a national stage through their hardworking trucks and also celebrate their achievements at the same time.

“The competition has been running continuously for almost three decades, making it the longest running truck appreciation competition of its kind in Australia.”

Craneworx, an Adelaide-based crane hire company took out the Grand Prize in 2022 for its mighty heavy-duty Isuzu FYJ 300-350 8×4 tilt-tray truck (pictured above).

The truck has been hard at work around the clock even despite its newly found celebrity status.

“When we won the 2022 Grand Prize the timing could not have been better,” Craneworx operations manager Daniel Lockwood says.

“Craneworx had just collected a new NQR 87-190 that we call ‘Mini Me’, in time for our deadlines from North East Isuzu, to use as a rigging and counterweight truck for our cranes.

“So we were celebrating the competition win and enjoying the newest edition to the fleet.”

There’s still time to enter your Isuzu for the Truck of the Year, which you can do on the Truck of the Year page on isuzu.com.au
