International OEM IVECO has announced the launch of a new van and cab chassis range in Australia and New Zealand.
IVECO has unveiled its Daily 4×2 van and cab chassis range, including more active and passive safety features, a revised interior and emissions reductions for local operators.
The new line-up includes fresh radar systems for advanced driver assistance systems, the introduction of an IVECO blind spot information system that features rear cross traffic braking and moving off information system, and a chassis-integrated crash box to reduce frontal collision impact.
Other highlights include an enhanced thin-film transistor 26cm instrument cluster, a transition to a more stringent step E Euro 6 emission control and adaptive suspension that adjusts depending on payload and road conditions.
To meet the emissions standards, IVECO engineers revised the Daily’s emission control system with the design of a standalone diesel oxidation catalyst and separate selective catalytic reduction, while also introducing a secondary AdBlue injector.
The new range includes three principle van models with payloads ranging from 1,741kg to 3,953kg, while cab chassis options are available across the 50C and 70C ranges.

The new IVECO Daily 4×2 van and cab chassis line-up comes with a six-year/250,000km warranty that can be extended to up to six-years/600,000kms at extra cost.
“The latest IVECO Daily range evolves the product line-up to deliver notable improvements for both fleet and private buyers,” IVECO Trucks Australia managing director Glen Dyer says.

“The van models are already a popular choice among buyers, particularly in demanding, high payload applications. Tough truck-like underpinnings including a full-length steel C-Section chassis and rear wheel drive configuration, allows generous payloads while offering a structurally superior platform for complex interior fit outs.
“The latest range adds to this productivity and efficiency with greatly heightened safety features, advanced emission performance and a high level of interior appointment options that make long work days a little easier.
“In the cab chassis range, the Daily has been the best-selling European light truck cab chassis for several years now, providing owners with a level of sophistication, safety and car-like driving experience that conventional cab-over competitors find hard to match.
“Latest generation models increase this appeal, whether used for work or as recreational platforms such as for motorhomes, where the Daily has a very strong following especially with premium manufacturers.”
