LBRCA celebrates International Women’s Day with new award

The Livestock, Bulk and Rural Carriers Association (LBRCA) is celebrating International Women’s Day with the introduction of a new award.

The Rural Transport Woman of the Year aims to celebrate the incredible achievements of women in the rural transport sector, recognising their outstanding service and contribution in New South Wales.

Announcing the award through Facebook, the LBRCA states “the transport industry is inclusive, and woman play a vital role”.

“There’s a pathway for everyone. Whether it’s driving, scheduling, maintaining trucks, or office work, every role counts in keeping those wheels turning!”

Nominations and criteria will open mid-2024, with the new award set to be a highlight of next year’s joint LBRCA and ALRTA Annual Conference, happening in Canberra on April 4 and 5, 2025.
