The Livestock and Rural Transporters Association of Queensland (LRTAQ) has announced the finalists of its Young Person in Transport Awards for 2025.
Sponsored by Cummins Drivetrains and Braking Systems, the award has been developed to recognise and acknowledge the contribution that younger transport workers are making to the sustainability of our industry.
Member businesses were encouraged to recognise excellence in their workplace and nominate outstanding individuals aged 35 years or younger, with four finalists named.
The 2025 finalists are:
- Damon Kajewski – Martins Stock Haulage
- Rhys Johnson – Dulacca Transport
- Tom Craig – Frasers Livestock Transport
- Jaidyn Ericksen – C Brooks Livestock and General Carriers

The winner of the award will be announced at the upcoming Bull Carter’s Ball on February 14 as part of the LRTAQ’s annual conference on the Gold Coast.
The winner of the award will receive a visit to the Cummins and Paccar factories in Melbourne, as well as tickets to November’s Melbourne Cup.
