The Livestock and Rural Transporters Association of Queensland (LRTAQ) has revealed the decisions made at its recent AGM on the Gold Coast, with a new president appointed.
Following the association’s 44th AGM, Jarod Seiler of Seiler’s Transport was elected as the LRTAQ’s new president.
Jarod was born and raised in Kingaroy and has been involved in the livestock transport industry for most of his life, with his parents starting Seiler’s Transport in 1990. After spending several years working in the Northern Territory, he returned to the family business in 2002, with him and his wife Donna buying 50 per cent of the business in 2006.
In 2022, the pair fully acquired the operator, running a fleet of 19 trucks transporting pigs and cattle across Queensland and northern NSW.
“I am both honoured and privileged to have been nominated and elected by my industry colleagues to serve as your next president of the LRTAQ,” he says.
