MAN Truck & Bus has confirmed the extension of the contract of its current CEO for another five years.
Alexander Vlaskamp will remain as the CEO of MAN and an executive board member of the TRATON Group until November 2029.
TRATON Group CEO and chairman of MAN’s supervisory board Christian Levin says the reappointment of Vlaskamp comes due to recent success for the MAN brand.
“Alexander Vlaskamp and his team have done an impressive job in turning MAN around and getting the brand back on track for success,” Levin says.
“Thanks to Alexander Vlaskamp, MAN has also advanced to become a key driving force in the TRATON Group when it comes to the transition to renewable fuels and electrification.
“MAN’s new electric truck celebrated a very successful market launch. MAN recently established itself as Europe’s market leader for electric city buses.
“Under the leadership of Vlaskamp, MAN is a powerful force in the TRATON Group. I look forward to continuing working together to transform transportation.”
Vlaskamp has been in charge of MAN Truck & Bus since November 2021, with his former roles including working for Scania in Germany and Austria as director of aftersales from 2002 to 2007 and managing director from 2012 to 2017.
