Volvo Trucks Australia has issued a recall for more than 50 units of the popular UD Quon model due to a manufacturing defect impacting the propeller shaft.
All variants of the 2022 UD Quon model are part of the recall, with 53 trucks impacted due to a key manufacturing issue.

As per the recall, the propeller shaft may not have been welded to the required specifications, meaning it may break at the welding point.
If this does occur, it could result in a loss of motive power while driving, potentially increasing the risk of an accident.
To get the issue fixed, Volvo Group is asking all owners of the affected vehicles to contact their preferred authorised Volvo Group dealership to have the works carried out free of charge.
