NHVR extends PBS feedback deadline

Following a request by HVIA, the regulator has pushed back the deadline to respond to consultation papers on the standards

The deadline to provide feedback on proposed reviews to Performance Based Standards (PBS) has been extended by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).

The regulator approved a request by Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA) to extend the feedback deadline on its paper for the Phase 4 PBS standards review of the High-Speed and Stability Standard under PBS.

The extension means the consultation period is now open until February 23, 2026 after it was originally slated to close by early January.

In response, HVIA says it’ll have its first stakeholder meeting on the new standards on December 8.

As part of this, the three standards being reviewed are Static Rollover Threshold, Rearward Amplification and High-Speed Transient Off-Tracking, all part of the fourth phase of the PBS Standards Review Project.
