The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) has issued a temporary variation for heavy vehicles using the M1 Pacific Motorway in NSW.
In consultation with Transport for NSW (TfNSW), the NHVR will be temporarily amending access for certain heavy vehicles due to works being completed on the Pacific Motorway between Hunter Expressway and John Renshaw Drive.
The closure is planned to be in effect from 7.30pm and 4.30am today on the northbound side, while it’ll be in effect from the southbound side for tomorrow and Thursday.

The detour for the closure is via Hunter Expressway and John Renshaw Drive and is applicable to all current permits with access that includes M1 Pacific Motorway between Hunter Expressway and John Renshaw Drive.
The NHVR says a copy of the variation letter must be carried along with the permit and be produced to an authorised officer upon request.
