NTC launches consultation on mass, dimension and loading regulation

The next stage of proposed ongoing HVNL reform sees the NTC call for industry responses to mass, dimension and loading changes

The National Transport Commission (NTC) is continuing to call for consultation on the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), now focusing on mass, dimension and loading.

Last week, the NTC launched consultation on draft amendments to the mass, dimension and loading section of the national regulation.

The proposed amendments to the regulation include policies already approved by ministers, including increases to general mass limits to align with current concessional mass limits and an increase to the general vehicle length limit from 19m to 20m.
