NTI backs Burrumbuttock Hay Runners

NTI has stepped up as major sponsor of the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners, backing the 13th run.

National Transport Insurance (NTI) chief executive officer Tony Clark says the partnership between NTI and the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners is a natural progression following its 2017 support of the initiative.

The 13th hay run, nicknamed ‘Cunnamulla’, will take place on January 25 to 27.

“Our relationship with the Hay Runners is one of genuine admiration, and heartfelt support,” Clark says.

“It’s an opportunity for NTI to give back to hardworking Australians who dedicate their lives to sustaining agriculture in our unforgiving climate, and support the volunteers who donate their time and resources.”

Founded by Brendan ‘Bumpa’ Farrell in 2014, the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners helps members of the transport and farming industries by transporting and providing essential resources to drought stricken farmers, across regional New South Wales and Queensland.

The January 2018 hay run will stretch from Darlington Point (NSW) to Cunnamulla (Qld).

This event will mark the 13th convoy in just four years, each averaging around 200 trucks, to distribute multi-million dollar hauls of hay.

NTI will be along for the full, three-day journey, which can be followed on the NTI Facebook page.
