Oaklands Truck Show explains decision to postpone 2025 event

The show’s organisers have revealed why it was forced to postpone this year’s show and turn its focus to 2026

Just last week, the New South Wales based Oaklands Truck Show announced it wouldn’t be running its annual event in 2025, with organisers instead turning their focus onto 2026.

Only a year after the show saw a record number of rigs come through the gates, the show organisers revealed online it had been forced to postpone the show due to “a lack of input”.

Now, the organisers have told OwnerDriver the reason behind this change and has called for more help in the year ahead to ensure the 2026 event is back better than ever.

“We are finding it is getting harder each year to get people to join the committee and also get people to help with the preparation before, during and after the show,” show organisers told OwnerDriver.

“Being a small town, people are spread thin with all the other community clubs and events that happen.

“We would love to hear from anyone who would be interested in joining the committee or volunteering on the set up and other duties that we do to get the show running.

“If anyone is interested, just send a personal message to the Oaklands Truck Show Facebook page.”
