PACCAR Australia has announced a recall for more than 300 units of a popular DAF truck model due to a manufacturing issue in a key protection system.
PACCAR Australia has recalled 303 units of the DAF CF model, ranging across the FA, FAD and FAT variants from 2019 to 2025.

Due to a manufacturing issue, the Front Underrun Protection System on the models may have ground clearance that exceeds the compliance standard.
In the event of a frontal collision, a smaller vehicle may not adequately be prevented from passing underneath the truck and as such may result in serious injury or death to its occupants.
PACCAR Australia has advised owners of affected vehicles they will be contacted and asked to book an appointment with their preferred DAF dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.
