Penske issues recall for hundreds of Western Star models

Volvo and Daimler

Penske Australia is recalling 410 trucks in the Western Star line due to a manufacturing issue.

Models affected are all X-Series 3-Axles, with all variants within the model being recalled. Penske says that the issue related to an incorrectly routed power cable which could contact a ground stud of the vehicle and short circuit.

The affected models were released between 2022-2023. You can find the vehicle identification numbers here to find out if your model is affected.

Owners of the affected vehicles should contact their preferred Western Star dealer as soon as possible to have repairs carried out free of charge.
