Hino ‘sets new standards’ with Grafton dealer

Hino says new Grafton dealer will set new standards for service in the region

Hino says its new dealer on the far-north coast of New South Wales will open up new possibilities for truck buyers while setting new standards for service in the region.

Back Hino, part of the Black Toyota group, is located in Grafton, serving a vast region south to Coffs Harbour, north to Yamba and Lismore, and west to Casino.

The addition of Black Hino takes Hino’s national dealer network to 44 outlets, with plans for more in 2009.

Principal Craig Black has had a long association with the Toyota Group of Companies, dating back to 1983 when the first Black Toyota dealership was opened in Chinchilla, Queensland.

The addition of the new truck dealership is a logical progression for the growing automotive group, according to Black Hino General Manager Danny Scott.

“Hino is a natural fit for our brand strategy as a member of the Toyota Group of Companies,” he says.

“Hino has the same brand values as Toyota in terms of quality, durability and reliability, which has served the Black group so well.

“We definitely see opportunities for Hino to gain a growing presence in our region, given the strength of the product.”

Black Toyota has other dealerships in addition to its original Chinchilla base: Dalby, Roma, Warwick and Oakey in Queensland and Grafton in NSW.

Black Toyota has won nine Toyota President’s Awards for Excellence for meeting the highest standards in sales and service, customer service satisfaction, workshop operations, and parts and accessories.

It has also been recognised as the number one rural commercial dealer and the number two commercial dealer in Australia.

“Customer service is the key strength and a matter of pride among the Black group, and our new Hino customers will be the beneficiaries of our dedication to serving their needs,” Scott says.

Hino Australia’s chief operating officer Steve Lotter says the addition of Black Hino to the national dealer network is integral to achieving Hino’s long-term goal of becoming the leading truck brand in Australia.

“Black Hino is well prepared for the challenges ahead, and has the experience and expertise to successfully connect the Hino brand with the north-east region of NSW,” he says.
