Isuzu is parading four of its heavy duty trucks around Australia in a national cavalcade to give customers, and potential customers, a good look at the expanded range.
The four trucks, a Gigamax B-double rated prime mover and three Giga and FX models, will be stopping at every Isuzu dealer in the country for a week at a time to allow customers to test the vehicles in their own work environments.
The range-topping Gigamax is fitted with a 382 kilowatt (512 horsepower) SiTec 510 engine, displacing 15.7 litres and producing 2255 Newton-metres of torque at 1300rpm.
The Gigamax also features Isuzu’s second generation 16-speed automated manual transmission, Meritor ELSA disc brakes front and rear, WABCO electronic braking system, ISRI 6860 air suspended driver’s seat and driver airbag, and an ECE-R29 compliant cab.
In addition, all current FX and Giga models are Euro 5-compliant, meeting the tough ADR80/03 standard long ahead of its Australian due date.
Trained drivers and Isuzu Dealer sales staff will be on hand at each location, providing customers with information on the new range.
