Insuliner keeps lid on temperature

NSW operator Causley Transport turns to Freighter to solve trailer needs

With a contract that includes carrying chilled and temperature sensitive produce such as fruit and vegetables into north Queensland, New South Wales operator Causley Transport needs trailers capable of handling a diverse range of freight.

A long time Freighter customer Mark Causley settled on a new Insuliner B-Double T-Liner set, featuring an insulated roof, floor and rear doors with curtains using blankets of polyester as well as a Thermo King refrigeration plant for excellent thermal performance.

Causley says high quality insulation is a necessity, particularly for temperature sensitive freight earmarked for humid areas of North Queensland.

The use of curtains also allows the convenience of side entry to the trailer, making it easy and faster to load in the field or at cold storage facilities, providing an advantage over other temperature control trailers.

The hard back door seals use a co-extruded design that provides the flexibility and strength of a rigid plastic spine while the sealing lips ensure excellent water and dust proofing.

As a B-Double combination, Causley Transport can offer customers greater load capacity, allowing them to haul produce and other goods in one trip rather than two separate trips with a single trailer, providing increased operational and fuel efficiency.
