Latest addition sets record for Civitrans

Civitrans has expanded its heavy duty fleet, with the latest purchase setting a record in Australia

Victorian civil construction transport company Civitrans has expanded its heavy duty fleet, with the latest purchase setting a record in Australia.

The company, established in 2005 as part of Civigroup has added another Hino 700 Series to its range of current models equipped with air tippers and a variety of three and four-axle dog trailers.

Civitrans’ fleet is now made up of 22 Hino 700 Series trucks, which Hino says is the biggest 700 Series fleet in Australia.

Anthony Condello, who is Civitrans’ managing director, says the truck is capable of meeting the work requirements involved in construction.

“I reckon we give the 700 Series as hard a time as they are ever going to get in any type of industry and we have had no problems with their performance,” Condello says.

“They are a very robust unit, which is extremely important in our industry where we move rock and fill material for various civil projects. The fuel efficiency has been pretty good too.”
