Nominate now for 2009 Roseneder Award

Nominations open for the 2009 Craig Roseneder Award, which recognises achievements in technical and maintenance

Nominations for the 2009 Craig Roseneder Award have opened, to recognise outstanding achievements in the technical and maintenance areas of the transport industry.

Presented at the annual Australian Trucking Association (ATA) and Australian Road Transport Suppliers Association (ARTSA) Technical and Maintenance Conference, the award recognises the professionalism of the men and women who work behind the scenes in the trucking industry’s workshops.

“The 2008 award winner was Tony Rawson, Brisbane City Council’s City fleet manager. In previous years, the award has gone to workshop staff at companies like Australia Post, K&S Freighters, SX Trailers and Toll North Equipment,” ATA Chairman Trevor Martyn says.

“The award is open to candidates who work for a trucking company, supplier or commercial workshop as a workshop manager or mechanic, or who provide support within the maintenance field for heavy vehicles.”

The winner of the 2009 Craig Roseneder Award will receive a scholarship to attend the American Trucking Associations’ Maintenance Council meeting in early 2010 and $1500 in spending money, as well as a trophy, a gift from Castrol, and complimentary registration for the 2010 ATA/ARTSA Technical and Maintenance Conference.

The award will be presented at the Castrol Workshop Awards Dinner, which will be part of the 2009 ATA/ARTSA Technical and Maintenance Conference.

The conference will be held from Sunday 15 to Tuesday 17 November at the Silverwater Resort in San Remo, Victoria.
