Auto greasing for easy maintenance, Pearson says

Jim Pearson makes maintenance hands-off, crediting automated greasing for reducing costs

Jim Pearson Transport has made its maintenance management more hands-off, crediting automated technology for strong business growth.

The company has adopted customised software for vehicle tracking, operations and vehicle efficiency enhancements, including an automatic maintenance system.

Pearson says automatic greasing, particularly, has minimised service costs and reduced equipment downtown.

“Our adoption of the latest industry management tools, quality procedures and maintenance technology has been a major factor in our strong annual growth,” he says.

The Sydney-Brisbane operator moves about 3,000 tonnes of freight along the Pacific Highway per day.

A fleet of 110 Freightliners and Mack prime movers haul drop deck mezzanine and straight deck taughtliners, as well as refrigerated B-double combinations continuously between the two capitals.
