Low profile light bars raise safety

Help at hand for trucking companies which have had safety lights damaged due to height of vehicle's roofline

Help may be at hand for trucking companies which have had high visibility safety lights damaged due to the height of a vehicle’s roofline.

Light manufacturer Narva has released a new low profile LED light bar, the Optimax, available with either 12V or 24V power supply for different applications.

The low profile Optimax is 92mm high, increasing to 115mm high if fitted with the optional alley lights, while the depth is 290mm, with widths of 0.8m, 1.2m and 1.4m available.

Lighting is provided by high performance LED modules positioned fore and aft, with each module using four new generation high intensity LEDs contained in a die cast aluminium housing designed to maximise heat dissipation.

Selected light bars are also fitted with low profile rotating halogen beacons and angled mirrors along with two high intensity side illumination alley lights on each end.

Other options include an illuminated opal centre, while the standard amber polycarbonate lens is also available in red or blue.
