Projecta has released a new battery charger for trucking operators have been released, with the company claiming it will help companies maximise battery life.
Called the Intelligi-Charger, Projecta says the new product will deliver high performance and efficiency levels for operators.
Specially designed for the Australian market, the Intelli-Charger uses switchmode technology to deliver a seven stage charge, while the multi-chemistry technology allows specific charging profiles to be set for different battery types.
The seven charge stages are designed to ensure the battery receives the highest quality charge, starting with ‘Desulphation’ and ‘Soft Start’ to prepare for charging, followed by the ‘Bulk’ phase to deliver a fast charge.
The ‘Absorption’ mode ensures the battery is fully charged, while ‘Analysis’ ensures the battery will hold the charge, reconditioning the battery up to three times to help it pass testing.
The Intelli-Charger can deal with Gel, AGM, Wet and Calcium batteries, with an L.E.D. display offering easy-to-read functionality, while the extruded aluminium shell is both shock- and dust-proof, with the whole unit passing military standard vibration testing.
The chargers can also be used as a power supply to retain system memories while the main battery is being charged, protecting user settings.
