Allison Transmissions passes the million mark

Allison Transmissions produces its one millionth 1000/2000 transmission

Allison Transmissions has manufactured the one millionth unit of its popular1000/2000 Series automatic commercial vehicles.

The special transmission rolled off the production line in Indianapolis, Indiana, where Jim Wanaselja, Allison’s Vice President of North American Marketing Sales and Service, presented the gearbox to Bob Mann, Vice President of Dealer Sales for Navistar Trucks.

Allison’s 1000/2000 Series transmissions are used around the world in a variety of vehicle applications including distribution, construction, fire/emergency, military, school buses, and motorhomes.

Equipped withtorque converter technology, Allison says the transmissions provide superior vehicle performance, increased productivity, reduced driveline wear and lower life cycle costs.
