Brakes firm unveils link to website for replacement part access by product listing
June 15, 2012
With more workshops and mechanics integrating smartphones into daily work practices, brake supplier Bendix has introduced direct smartphone access to its mobile optimised website.
Service technicians can now use their smartphone to snap onto a QR code that takes them direct to the Bendix website, making it possible to access the online database of brake part applications.
This allows a mechanic in the service workshop to access a replacement part by product listing and to verify this visually from the list of product images and information, saving time on the job, the company says.
The optimised Bendix website uses the latest mobile-friendly access and contains a catalogue reference listing, product information for pad applications for general CT, 4WD, heavy commercial and performance plus brake shoes.
There are also technical tips plus information on sundry lines such as brake fluid, brake cleaner and brake lubricant, saving time and reducing the risk of incorrect parts being ordered.
