MAN to be official transporter of Triple Eight V8 Supercars

For the fifth year in a row, MAN will once again be the official transporter for Triple Eight Race Engineering for the V8 Supercar season.

After a highly successful 2013 season, MAN is renewing its support of Triple Eight and its naming rights partner Red Bull Racing Australia.

Two MAN TGX 540 prime movers will be carting the Holden VF Commodores as they tour around the country.

“To and from the race track, Warwick our transport driver becomes the most important member of our team, so our ongoing MAN relationship is vital to the team’s wellbeing. Not only does he need to arrive safely, but having won the Best Presented Team for three consecutive years, we also give our utmost consideration to the presentation levels that Red Bull expect,” Triple Eight Operations Manager Peter Jamieson says.

“With its combination of high power, outstanding ride characteristics and a low tare weight the TGX really is the ideal truck for the task,” MAN Events Manager Pat Cook says.

Last year Triple Eight took out the team championship trophy, with drivers Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes placing first and second, respectively.
