Volvo issues recall for FM and FH model trucks

Volvo says screws on the front axles of FH and FM model trucks could become loose.

Volvo Group Australia has recalled an unknown number of FM and FH trucks, alerting customers to loose screw issues with the vehicle’s front axles.

“The front axle screw/nuts may have been incorrectly torqued, which can lead to the screws/nuts holding the front axle to become loose,” the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) recall notice says.

“The front axle screw/nuts could become loose, posing an accident hazard to the driver and other road users.”

The ACCC says customers in Queensland and Victoria are affected and should take their vehicles to the closest repair dealership.

No date range or specific model numbers were provided.
