Eaton collects Paccar Australia award for quality of service.
Transmission supplier Eaton has been named Paccar Australia’s 2014 Supplier of the Year for the second time running.
Eaton collected the Supplier of Year Award in the B category, which is given for custom made products specified for Kenworth trucks.
Paccar, which produces Kenworth and DAF trucks and heavy vehicle parts, recognises the work of its suppliers at an annual awards event each year across three categories.
“To win this award back-to-back is an outstanding achievement and testament to both the high quality of our products and the team’s commitment to the close partnership we have with Kenworth,” Eaton vehicle group general manager Martin Toomey says.
Criteria for the award is based on quality, warranty, on-time delivery, engineering support, production support and cost containment.
Eaton says its success can be also be attributed to its reduction in order to delivery times and Roadranger field marketing team, which, it says, has assisted in new truck handovers and provided detailed driver training.
“These activities help to create a positive experience for the operators and are an important contributor to ensuring the preference of fleets and truck owners for the Eaton components that are fitted on Kenworth trucks,” the company says.
