MaxiTrans names new MD and CEO
Dean Jenkins to replace outgoing MD Michael Brockhoff
The search for a new managing director has ended for MaxiTrans with the appointment of Dean Jenkins as new MD and CEO.
The hunt began last month after Michael Brockhoff announced his intention to retire.
Jenkins will commence the new role starting next month.
His most recent role was that of chief operating officer and executive director of Scottish engineering company Weir Group PLC.
Before that, Jenkins was the CEO of Australian rail firm UGL Rail.
He has also held senior leadership positions at Qantas.
"Dean has over 20 years’ executive experience in managing transport and manufacturing businesses," MaxiTrans chairman Robert Wylie says.
"He has a strong track record of successfully leading large, complex and truly global companies, driving change and improvement throughout his career.
"This in-depth international transport and engineering experience and leadership capability means he is ideally suited to build MaxiTRANS’ next phase of development to generate superior value for shareholders."
Jenkins says he is looking forward to building the company’s profile.
"The company has strong brands and enduring customer relationships which provide a strong platform to generate growth opportunities right across the business," he says.
