Detroit to unveil DD16 at Brisbane Truck Show

Detroit's engine range to be showcased at Brisbane

Detroit will unveil the much‐anticipated DD16 for the first time to the public at the Brisbane Truck Show next week.

The most powerful on‐highway engine ever produced by Detroit, the DD16, which will soon be available to Australian customers, combines Detroit’s unfaltering reliability with high performance, the company says.

It was revealed late last year that the DD16 is part of Freightliner’s new Cascadia push into this country in its larger model.

“From the Series 60, to the DD15, to the DD16, visitors to the Brisbane Truck Show will see the evolution of Detroit when they visit the Detroit stand,” Penske Power Systems general manager – on‐highway Sean McLean says.

“The DD16 has been built on the well‐proven reliability that Detroit products are known for, while providing additional horsepower for customers who want the extra pulling power.

“And, as with all Detroit products, the DD16 will be backed by our comprehensive national network of dealers along with a renowned warranty package that gives customers peace of mind.”

DJR Team Penske driver Fabian Coulthard, who is relishing the Ford Mustang’s performance in Supercars competition this year, will be at the Detroit stand from 12 noon on Saturday May 18 for a meet and greet with show attendees.

Visitors will find Detroit at stand 75 in the foyer.
