Hino Australia opens dealership in Hobart

FRM Hino premises comprises 2,750 square metres of floor space and 20 service bays

Hino Australia expands its Tasmanian network with a new, purpose-built dealership in Hobart for FRM Hino.

The truckmaker notes that, with consistent business growth, Hobart remains a key market for Hino and it is confident the new premises will allow FRM to continue to best serve customers.

“Alongside tourism, the major sectors of mining, agriculture and other primary industries continue to present opportunities for Hino product within the light, medium and heavy duty truck segments of the market,” Hino Australia general manager – sales and supply chain Brian Wright says.

Over the last five years, FRM Hino has relocated all three FRM branches in Hobart, Launceston and Devonport to new premises.

“When FRM began in 1982, our focus was primarily on the forklift industry, and as we have transformed to truck sales and service business, it has been necessary to improve our premises accordingly,” FRM Hino MD David Mills says.

“Our new dealership is Hobart’s only truck showroom, and features an impressive 2,750 square metres floor space and 20 service bays, which allows us to better serve our customers’ needs.

“The new premises under the management of new sales manager Troy Wood have seen us increase our sales by 30 per cent year-on-year since we opened the new facility in November 2020.”

Hino Australia has over 65 dealerships and services centres nationally.
