Mack Metro-Liner in recall over cruise control software

Software fault may fail to disengage unit in certain scenarios

Volvo Group Australia (VGA) is recalling Mack CSM Metro-Liners due to a cruise control issue.

Due to incorrect software, the cruise control may fail to disengage if triggered when electronic stability control intervention is required, unless brake pedal is applied.

“A loss in vehicle performance could increase the risk of an accident and injury to vehicle occupants or other road users. In the event of a serious accident, this may result in death,” the recall notice reads.
