Kenworth and DAF announce leading 2021 dealerships

Kenworth DAF Hallam and Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra earn top Paccar gongs for 2021

Kenworth DAF Hallam has been named the 2021 DAF Dealer of the Year, the second time the Melbourne dealership has been awarded the accolade since its introduction in 2002.

The DAF Dealer of the Year program is structured to reward the best performing dealers within the Paccar dealer network.

Paccar points out that these awards are not just about the highest truck sales, it also recognises superior performance across the business including customer relationships, facilities, parts and service and finance performance in terms of market share, growth, and aftersales support. These are all areas that Kenworth DAF Hallam are said to have exceeded throughout 2021.

In addition to the DAF award, Kenworth DAF Hallam, which is part of the CMV Group, also took out Cummins Dealer of the Year and the Paccar Service Dealer of the Year award, demonstrating outstanding commitment to their first-class service environment and customer support.

Congratulating the dealership for its performance, Brad May, director sales and marketing for Paccar Australia, says Kenworth DAF Hallam was very deserving of the prize and praised its continued success with the DAF brand.

“In a year that everyone hoped would not echo 2020, Kenworth DAF Hallam continued to not only exceed expectations but it also demonstrated high performance levels in customer service and support to our DAF customers,” May says.

Matthew Keene, general manager of Hallam Truck Centre was delighted his team had won the award.

“Despite the challenging year it was, I couldn’t be more proud of the entire team across our three locations for going that extra mile every time,” Keene says.

“Without the support of our colleagues at Paccar Australia and the DAF Trucks team, we would not be able to achieve these great results. I would like to take this opportunity to add a thank you to Paccar Australia for the support during what was another challenging year.

Meanwhile, Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra took out the Kenworth Dealer of the Year award for 2021.

Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra is no stranger to winning awards as this is the fourth time the dealership has won the Kenworth accolade and it also follows on the heels of DAF Dealer of the Year win in 2020.

Brad May congratulated Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra dealer principal Matt Innes, acknowledging the whole team for their resilience and subsequent superb result in what was another challenging year.

“Brown & Hurley Kenworth DAF Darra is highly deserving of this award. Their clear and consistent delivery of customer service and support sits at such an enviable position and sets the standard for all.” May says.

“On behalf of Paccar Australia, I would like to applaud the dealership on its success, and I know it is committed to maintaining such high levels of professionalism in the years to come.”

Matt Innes accepted the award on behalf of his staff.

“Winning this coveted Kenworth award is very much welcomed and is validation for the incredible efforts and lengths the whole team has gone to despite the challenges experienced over these past 12 months,” Innes says.

“It would be remiss of me if I didn’t also thank the team at Paccar Australia. We very much value the continuous support and of course for providing us with premium quality trucks and parts.”

The presentation of the Kenworth and DAF Dealer of the Year awards were again livestreamed as part of Paccar’s online annual dealer meeting.
