Richers transport takes delivery of its 200th Mack truck

The company, with nearly a century of history, says it chose Mack for its reliability.

Queensland based Richers Transport company has taken the delivery of its 200th Mack Anthem truck.

Tom Richers, Operations Manager Richers Transport says Mack Trucks have been a great choice for the company.

“We choose to go with Mack for drivability, they’re great for the drivers, for fuel economy, and are equipped with a good safety package. They’re great from a maintenance perspective as well.

“The service and back up we get from the dealer network is fantastic,” says, Richers.

Operationally, Richers Transport covers the entire Australian eastern seaboard from Cairns to Adelaide transporting groceries, particle board, alcohol, and general freight.

The company has a history stretching back nearly 9 decades; starting initially with just one Model T Ford.

“We often talk about durability when we talk about Mack trucks,” says Tom Chapman, Vice President Mack Trucks Australia.

“However, durability of customer relationships such as the one forged between Mack and the Richers family over many decades is perhaps even more important.

“Productivity and efficiency are vital in a modern transport operation,” continues Chapman, “But an enduring partnership based on trust in both people and product doesn’t just happen overnight, its built over many years.

“I’m very proud to mark this milestone event with the Richers family, it’s a testament to the strength of both brands, Richers transport and Mack trucks,” says Chapman.

The distinctive green and white Richers livery of the milestone Anthem is complemented by custom stainless-steel work and signwriting. The MP8 powered Mack Anthem also features a walk-through 36-inch sleeper cab, and an integrated Bendix Wingman Fusion safety system as standard equipment.
