Queensland operator launches first apprenticeship program

The company has wasted no time, also revealing its two inaugural apprentices as part of the “significant milestone”

A Queensland based transport company has announced the launch of its first-ever apprenticeship program.

Burpengary-based MJ Mahon Transport has revealed the significant milestone as it looks to provide a unique opportunity to people wanting to kickstart careers in transport.

The program will offer hands-on training and development in a “supportive and structured environment”.

MJ Mahon Transport was first established back in 2000 when Michael Mahon sold his first small truck and bought two 12-tonne trucks to carry groceries for independent grocery stores as well as produce from the Brisbane Markets.

“This apprenticeship is not just a great step for our company but also an innovative move within the broader Queensland transport industry,” the operator says.
