The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has named its latest winner of the Craig Roseneder Award, with the 2024 recipient being South Australian transport veteran John Jenkin.
Jenkin co-founded Tatiara Truck & Trailers around 40 years ago and was rewarded for his industry service this week at the 2024 National Trucking Industry Awards.
The Craig Roseneder Award recognises technical and maintenance excellence in the trucking industry’s workshops.
Jenkin received the award for his work at the Bordertown workshop of Tatiara Truck & Trailers alongside his partner, with the workshop now employing 60 people and attracting major dealerships such as Cummins, Detroit, Volvo and Scania while serving as a Kenworth sub-dealer.
Jenkin’s recognition was one of two awards handed out on the night, with Bisitecniks’ Callum Boyce given the 2024 Industry Achievement Award for his technical innovation and accomplishments in the Australian trucking industry.

Boyce joined Bisitecniks in 2014 after completing his engineering degree at the Federation University of Australia.
His roles there include testing, analysis and certification, giving him a unique opportunity to see products develop from conception and testing, all the way to in-service fitment as an NHVR VSB6 AVE.
Alongside former ATA chief engineer and ITC honorary life member Bob Woodward, Boyce represented the ATA on the Australian Standards Working Group assisting in the development of AS 2213-2022 and AS 4968-2023.
For the award, Jenkin will receive a fully paid trip to the 2025 US Technology and Maintenance Council Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition in Nashville, Tennessee.
At the dinner, ATA Industry Technical Council (ITC) chair Dennis Roohan also announced the first four honorary life members of ITC in Bob Woodward, Kel Baxter, Keith Mackinlay and Lance Fisher.
