The Western Australian government’s RAC has officially launched its Safer Speeds Trial, which it is undertaking with the City of Busselton and the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.
It will take place over a three year trial over 1250 local government roads in the City of Busselton and 550 government roads in the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.
Main Roads WA says it will be undertaken with the goal of preventing serious injuries and lowering the state’s road toll.
According to the WA Road Safety Commission, speed is still one of the leading factors when it comes to road trauma on the state, hence the focus on cracking down on speeding.
If you live in the City of Busselton you can give feedback on the trial here, or on the Shire of Augusta Margaret River here.
