Scania will unveil its most powerful truck, the R 730, at the Brisbane Truck Show.

Scania Australia Managing Director Roger McCarthy described the 730 horsepower, 3,500Nm vehicle as the most powerful truck in the world.

“Scania’s V8 trucks have built a niche of their own in the truck market,” McCarthy says of the truck launched last April in Europe.

“The sheer power of the new R 730 is important but even more so is the torque rating.

“Having 3,500 Nm of torque on tap makes a joy out of any transport task and is bound to put a smile on every driver’s face.”
