Letter to the Editor: Keeping my B-double licence in NSW at 70

One reader wrote to Owner//Driver after having to re-sit his MC licence test at 70 years old, an experience that left him unable to earn and brought his working life to a standstill. In the UK, every licenced heavy vehicle operator has to undergo 35 hours of periodic training every five years to stay qualified, and licences have to be renewed every five years when you reach 45 and every year when you reach 65. Would this approach help keep bad habits at bay, and prevent negative experiences like that of Jim’s?
