TR Group acquire Adelaide rental company

TR Group Australia acquires Adelaide-based trailer hire business Southern Cross Rentals as part of its national expansion, adding a fifth location to its rental and leasing outlets.

TR Group Australia has completed the acquisition of Southern Cross Rentals, an Adelaide-based trailer hire business, effective from August 1, as part of its national expansion strategy.

The acquisition adds to its existing rental and leasing outlets in Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle, and Perth.

The acquisition will add approximately 130 trailers to TR Group’s fleet, along with the Adelaide Southern Cross Rentals team. The expansion will cater to customers in South Australia, together with supporting the current branches in providing nationwide services to their customers.

“We’re excited to add our fifth location in our national branch network in Adelaide. Together with the Southern Cross Rentals team, this acquisition launches us into South Australia, progressing our goal of providing a nationwide network for our customers all over the country,” TR Group Australia general manager Peter Irwin says.

“We look forward to catering to businesses in Adelaide and the surrounding region and providing our expertise in heavy vehicle fleet rental and lease.”
