Agricultural and industrial equipment company Vermeer has announced it has acquired an ownership interest in Australian vacuum truck manufacturer Vac Truck Industries (VTI).
Based in Arundel, Queensland, VTI will now work together with Vermeer on current in-country manufacturing, branding, sales and support of vacuum trucks, jetter systems, suction trucks and customised solutions.
VTI was founded in 2017, with Matt Clough, Ned Popovic and James Hennessey now leading the brand as it serves the civil construction, oil and gas, electrical, infrastructure, mining and drilling markets.
The business currently has 45 employees across sales, design, fabrication and assembly, along with aftermarket support for the vacuum excavation industry.
