Volvo Group Australia has issued a recall for 179 affected truck units across the country due to an issue impacting the battery isolation switch.
Out of the 179 units, the FH, FMX, ANA, CLX and CMH models are all impacted from 2023 to 2025.
A manufacturing defect within the battery isolation switch sourced from an external supplier means it could be “susceptible to water ingress”.

This, in turn, could lead to an “unexpected loss of power” to the complete vehicle at any time without warning, increasing the risk of an accident.
Volvo Group Australia has advised all customers of impacted trucks to immediately drive to a safe location and await recall instructions.
The trucks can also be driven to the nearest authorised workshop for repairs, but Volvo says the driving must only be done during daylight and shouldn’t be used to transport cargo until fixed.
